These are the current expectations for anyone applying to a raid position within our guild.
1. You must have Ventrilo installed and working properly. Having a mic and being able to speak in raids is also highly recommended.
2. You must have a boss mod (DBM or BigWigs) and Omen, if it applies to you, set up in time for raid.
3. We use the in-game calendar system to set up the most optimal raid groups, while ensuring that everyone gets a chance to raid each week. If for some reason you can no longer make a scheduled raid time in which you are currently listed, it is your duty to contact a raid leader or officer as soon as possible so we can make the changes.
4. You are expected to be online and ready to raid at the time specified. This means fully repaired, and stocked with necessary consumables and reagents.
5. Gear should be itemized to maximize your class's potential. Depending on your spec you should be fully hit capped, defense capped, etc. as it relates to your overall performance. It is also expected that your gear be completely gemmed and enchanted before raids.
Applications are sent by e-mail to our officers, who will review it based on your apparent knowledge and research of your class. A vote by these officers will be made based on your answers, our current raid capacity, and your armory profile (among other things) the night before raid/server restart, aka Monday night. You should be notified the next day (Tuesday) of our decision and whether or not you have been selected for "intern" position. As an intern you will run the majority of our raids, gain Effort Points (EP), and be able to spend Gear Points (GP) on non-hard mode loot. Excelling as an intern for a length of time will get you promoted to a "raider" position.
